Rowena’s Easy Mushroom Tarts

One of the best basic pieces of kitchen equipment is a pyrex pie dish. The Sisters each have two of these dishes and when they make a pie or quiche they usually make two. This way you get two dinners made for not much more effort and the leftovers are also good for work lunch.

This is a really easy tart to make mid week.

Oreo Ice Cream Cake

This is a really good alterative to a baked cake.

Miss 10 was turning 11 so I decided to make a cake. Miss 10 said ‘Aunty Row I don’t really like cake’ and I said ‘I bet you will like this one’!

This is really easy to make and looks very impressive.

Falafels make a good vegetarian snack. If made at home they are not as dry as some that you can buy from  the deli or kebab shop. You can add these to wraps with salad or serve as nibbles when entertaining. This is also great dish if you have a vegan friend.

The trick with these is using a whole bunch of fresh parsley…
