This last week has been particularly hard. It has been very cold and caught quite a few people by surprise. In Sydney we are hearing statistics such as ‘coldest June morning in 23 years’ and ‘coldest June day in 27 years’ with outlying areas enduring sub-zero temperatures over night.

The Fridge

You can tell a lot about someone by the state of their fridge.

Neat and orderly versus furry green produce and leftovers bulging out of the door every time it is opened.

The Sensible Sisters admit that they are somewhere in between.

Rowena’s fridge is usually in somewhat better shape than Julia’s.

Selecting and Buying Eggs

The Sensible Sisters always buy free range eggs and have done so for years.

Julia keeps chickens but unfortunately they are getting a bit elderly and have gone off the lay as it is so cold! So Julia is back to buying eggs at the supermarket.

When eating out the Sensible Sisters will try and opt for a Cafe that specifically states that they use free range eggs.
